What a wonderful mad world

I see trees of green, red roses too

all around me are familiar faces

I see them bloom for me and you

worn out places, worn out faces

and I think to myself what a wonderful world.

Bright and early for their daily races

I see skies of blue and clouds of white

going nowhere, going nowhere

the bright blessed day, the dark sacred night

their tears are filling up their glasses

and I think to myself what a wonderful world.

No expression, no expression

the colors of the rainbow so pretty in the sky

hide my head I want to drown my sorrow

are also on the faces of people going by.

No tomorrow, no tomorrow

I see friends shaking hands saying how do you do

I find it hard to tell you

they're really saying I love you.

I find it hard to take

I hear babies crying, I watch them grow

when people run in circles

they'll learn much more than I'll never know

it's a very, very mad world, mad world

and I think to myself what a wonderful world.
